Paint your Room Your way

Getting bored at home this summer vacation?? Then why don't you take the brush and give your room a makeover?
Paint those gloomy cream-colored walls that made you look gloomy even when the exams are not on!
For starters, never think that wall painting is a big tough task and requires a lot of big 'technical' stuff like a big brush, turpentine oil, 'Nerolac' paint, etc. NO! I am talking about painting for fun and making your room look different. Everyone can have those abstract design or mickey mouse on their walls. They have the catalog from which they have to choose. Here world is your catalog, your imagination is your picture.
This may take little time because hey, its nothing like painting a drawing book, its painting a big wall that holds all your belongings and even YOU in it!

Now lets start some fun...

• Take out all you dust-ridden pencils, acrylic colors, paint brushes, rubbers and all your stationary. You can use the small paint brush as well but it will be less tiresome if you have some big ones too.
• Draw a picture of you choice on the big wall. Now, it doesn't have to be a cartoon or a face or anything. Just use your imagination, draw anything you like, even a landscape which we used to draw as a kid will do.
• After finishing the rough draft of you picture with pencil, take your 'artistic' brush and give life to the painting. Use any color combination you like or you favorite color. Fill the picture with emotions and strokes.
• The main picture is now finished, but you gotta have to think about the background. Yes, now i think of it. Well, let the picture stand alone in the wall if you like or give a light colored background to it. You can use light blue, or light yellow or just leave it the way it is. You may require your big brush for it. You can show the horizon by only painting half the wall or you can give multiple shades to it.

Your picture is ready and the gloomy walls are turned into a perfect 'modern' art.

A big advice, use you hand, literally, to paint. For example, if you want to make a tree and the leaves and branches are taking all of you energy and time then just dip you hand in the color and leave a hand print on the wall where the leaves are supposed to be.

As i have already said, run your imagination wild!! Use you hand, foot, elbow, cheek, lips, brush, pencil whatever you have and get yourself a funny afternoon.
